This series serves as a crucial preparation phase for Pakistan as they gear up for the much-anticipated T20 World Cup commencing on June 2 in the dynamic venues of the US and the West Indies. With a formidable bowling lineup featuring the likes of Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Abbas Afridi, Pakistan is poised for an exhilarating performance.

The excitement doesn’t end with the kit launch. Skipper Babar Azam and his squad have embarked on a journey, starting from Dubai and then onward to Ireland and England for two distinct T20I series. The action-packed schedule includes three thrilling T20Is against Ireland in Dublin from May 12-14, followed by a gripping clash with 2022 World Champions England from May 22-30 in a four-match series.

Under the leadership of Babar Azam, Pakistan has showcased commendable performances in the previous two T20 World Cups, reaching the semifinals in 2021 in the United Arab Emirates and narrowly missing the trophy in the 2022 tournament in Australia.

In a gesture of motivation, Naqvi has announced a substantial cash award of $100,000 for each player in the event of a triumphant victory at the upcoming tournament, further fueling the team’s determination and aspirations for glory.
